Reentry in Los Angeles

This project looks at reentry through the stories of four individuals at various stages within the Criminal Justice System. These four videos were produced in collaboration with the photographer, Joseph Rodriguez, and web designer, Moudy Elkammash. The photographs and videos have gone on to be exhibited at the Third Floor Gallery in Cardiff, the New York Photo Festival, and the Institute for Public Knowledge. This project was funded in part by a grant from the USC Institute for Justice and Journalism.

This body of work has most recently been used as a teaching tool by Rodriguez, partnering with New America Media, to train journalists at Santa Clara University and UC Berkley on how to produce multimedia and discuss issues of reentry and criminal justice.
